I live with three other roommates in a house. Like all other room mates, we split the cost of rent, utilities, and etc. We also buy our own groceries, and we all happen to really like Keurig coffee, which isn't friendly with our wallets.
I used my room mate's coffee cream ONCE because one morning, I ran out. She decided to write "Don't Use." At first, I was annoyed, and I took MY coffee K-cups that "I purchased by my own hard-working money" to my bedroom, but ABBA Father is in the process of breaking me, and He told me, "Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing" (1 Pet 3:9). SO, He instructed me to take it back downstairs, and instead write, "Feel free to use! " It may sound childish but from an early age, we are taught to work hard so that we may enjoy the fruits of our labor, but it was never taught to us to give freely as the Word of God commands us to. I only BOAST in the Lord and what He is doing!!!
Matthew 5:43-48
Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.
The world gives many praises to the veterans of the U.S. Armed forces but when it comes to in remembrance of what Jesus Christ did on the cross, there is the reactions of indifference, disdain and anger. I am not bashing the veterans, and I am very much grateful for what they have done, and are presently doing!! But do we think about how much blood He has shed for us? Do we show our gratitude by how we LIVE our life??
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service (Rom 12:1). It is time we repent of idolatry! It is time that we repent of our sinful lifestyles and surrender to His perfect will!! Your cross hanging on the front of your windshield doesn't mean anything if you are not repenting, and disobeying the Lord of lords! If ye love me, keep my commandments (John 14:15).
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it (Luke 9:23-24).
Choose to be set-apart! The phrase "walked with God" is only used when referencing two men: Enoch and Noah. Walk is a biblical figure for fellowship and obedience that results in divine blessing. It describes the closest communion with the MIGHTY GOD - as if walking by His side. Keep your eyes on JESUS! Obedience is the fruit of righteousness. The world has nothing better to offer!
The enemy is responsible for the temptations he puts in front of us, but we're responsible for whether or not we act on them. Walk in the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh (Gal 5:16). Our Lord told His disciples, "pray that ye enter not into temptation," while they were at the Mount of Olives right before He was crucified and resurrected. Our daily prayers must echo His prayer, "Father if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done" (Luke 22:42)!! Jesus sweat as it were great drops of blood while He prayed fervently for the will of His Father to come to pass regardless of how He felt! Then He rose from prayer, and found His disciples sleeping and said to them, "Why sleep ye? Rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation" (Luke 22:46). PRAY WITHOUT CEASING (1 Thess 5:17).
We must continue to make our relationship with Him our only priority, we must meditate on His Word day and night, and we must not fellowship, or in other words HANG OUT with the wicked! Here's the proof ---> I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with dissemblers. I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked (Ps 26:4-5). Because bad company ruins good morals (1 Corinth 15:33). Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?
When we are around unsaved loved ones, acquaintances, and coworkers, we only have ONE mission. Are you influencing others with the light of Christ, or are YOU being influenced by them? They will either accept Christ, or reject Him and avoid you altogether! If you are a real friend, you will tell them about the saving grace of Jesus Christ! Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever (1 John 2:15-17).
Apart from Jesus Christ, we are absolutely nothing.
You continue to deliberately ignore God's warnings, and recklessly live your life without fear of Him, and when His people speak of His salvation, wrath and mercy, you turn the deaf ear, and push those words out of your head and memory; because you would rather rely and trust in your own understanding. There will come a day when you will face the Most Holy God of Israel on judgement day, and you will painfully regret this decision. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up (Js 4:8-10).
The more we surrender to God's perfect will, the more we are transformed into His image (2 Corinth 3:18). There is nothing worth pursuing outside of Christ! And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead (Col 2:10-12).
As a new creation in Christ, your formal lifestyle, former friends, and former habits no longer consume you! It no longer gives you the desire to partake in your former activities because you are no longer the same person! And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God (Rom 12:2). Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy (1 Pet 1:16).
I tell you this because I love you in Christ, and I will not flatter anyone to hell, but I will speak of the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). Please repent, and surrender to His perfect will! He is the ONLY ONE who can and will set you free, love and protect you! There is nothing outside of Christ worth pursuing!!
I'll never understand a man who calls himself a pastor to allow his preteen daughter listen to worldly music like Nicki Minaj. Doesn't he know that we are in a spiritual battle? Doesn't he know that the enemy especially targets children from a young age into the world? Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Aren't parents supposed to lead their children into salvation? For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God (1 Tim 3:5)???
You call me a legalist, because my words are convicting. Isn't that what the Holy Spirit does? He reproves the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of the judgement (John 16:8). Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God (Js 4:4). I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth (Rev 3:15-16). I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish (Luke 13:5). Repent, for the Kingdom of God draws near!
"Itchy ears, itchy ears, tickle my ears. Tell me what I want to hear!" Many of us love to go to church on Sundays to hear "feel-good" messages, because we are told "God is not mad at you," by double minded pastors, even though we are continually living in sin and disobeying THE FATHER! What exactly pleases the Most Holy God? Repentance (a complete turn away from sin), and living a life that pleases Him, because if we love Him, we will OBEY Him (John 14:15)! If we keep looking back at sin and our old lifestyle like Lot's wife, we will likewise perish!
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not (2 Peter 2:1-3). No, I am not judging wrongly, I am judging righteously as I am commanded to (John 7:24). If I was doing the same exact thing, I would be wrong for that would make me a hypocrite (Matt 7:5).
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry (2 Tim 4:3-5). Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ (Col 2:8). WE MUST CONSISTENTLY EXAMINE OURSELVES WITH THE SHARP SWORD OF GOD'S WORD.
